MNE 2026 will be the 52nd conference in a series that was started in Cambridge in 1975 and which was held most recently in Turin (2021), Leuven (2022), Berlin (2023),  Montpellier (2024) and Southampton (2025). In September 2026, MNE will take place in Interlaken, Switzerland – an idyllic lakeside town nestled between the lakes of Thun and Brienz and framed by the majestic snow-capped peaks of the infamous Bernese Alps. It is estimated that the conference will attract 600-700 participants.
