Our systems handle large amounts of digital data and that are converted into analog signals for all the various positioning systems, laser sources, modulators or thermal cantilevers. Sensor signals from the interferometers and the NanoFrazor distance sensor signals need to be collected and processed by real-time algorithms to be fed back to the systems.
Heidelberg Instruments employs a dedicated team for in-house development of electronics ranging from various small control and sensor boards to FPGA and low noise analog designs.
