Advancing 3D Metasurface Fabrication: FABulous Project Meeting at Heidelberg Instruments

On December 3 and 4, Heidelberg Instruments hosted the project meeting of the EU-funded FABulous initiative at its Würzburg location. Participants from across Europe gathered to discuss the latest developments in the project and plan the next steps toward achieving groundbreaking advancements in multiphoton lithography and process modeling. The ultimate goal of FABulous is to enable the production of high-resolution 3D metasurfaces at speeds suitable for mass production.

To introduce the project partners to Franconian culture, the team organized an evening wine-tasting tour through the historic cellars of the Juliusspital, followed by a dinner. This unique experience offered the perfect opportunity to enjoy regional hospitality and strengthen the team spirit.

FABulous, short for Fabrication of 3D Metasurfaces to Enable the Next Generation of High-Efficiency Optical Products, is part of the European partnership “Made in Europe” and receives funding from the EU’s Horizon Europe research and innovation program (Grant Agreement 101091644).

Stay tuned as the FABulous project continues to push the boundaries of multiphoton lithography and drive innovation in 3D metasurface technology!
